Moving a page between spaces can change the links for the incorrect page under some circumstances

XMLWordPrintable

Under certain situations moving a page between spaces can change the links for the incorrect page in the current space.

      To reproduce:
      1) In space A, have two pages maybe ASDF and another called QWERTY
      2) Have links to QWERTY from a few locations on other pages in Space A and other spaces
      3) Edit ASDF and move it to Space B renaming it QWERTY
      4) All links to Space A's QWERTY will now shift to Space B QWERTY

We would expect no changes in the links unless they were linked to ASDF in space A. We never did check what happened for these. The end result requires a bit of manipulation to resolve without manually fixing all the links that were modified.

We understand this is a bit unusual and appears contrived, but we happened to note this behavior in determining how duplicate pages were created in one of our spaces. We found that the Edit action does validate the target space correctly for duplicates, but this behavior can occur under the right conditions.
