Hi, there.
One of our partners is reporting a customer issue with the current limit on the number of suggested labels. I'm adding this issue so that the development team can evaluate this as a potential improvement, and so that people affected or interested can watch/vote on the issue.
A customer of ours has a few Confluence spaces that have hundreds of labels. They were wondering why the label autocomplete was not working all of the time.
A quick glance at the source codes, particularly com.atlassian.confluence.labels.actions.GenerateAutocompleteLabelsListBean, revealed the reason. Lines 45-47 seem to indicate that only the 50 most recent or popular labels are considered for autocompletion. Is there a performance reason for doing it like this?
The customer insists on getting this fixed. Can you provide a fix for this or should we just change the limit for the label count in GenerateAutocompleteLabelsListBean, rebuild from the sources?
The SAC issue is CSP-27885.
