Using

{viewfile:AdStepJira.doc} generates an error:

viewfile: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 9

Is there any other way to get "open in word" or "edit in word" besides using {viewfile}

and clicking the hidden gray bar?

We don't need the functionality of viewing word files inside confluence, it's useless to us, but we do need editing of word attachments from the attachments list without having to download/upload.

It would be better to implement flash reader for .doc files, like the one for .ppt and .pdf. Now we have a semi-functional .doc interpreter that cannot interpret average enterprise .doc file.
