The Confluence Pagetree Plugin contains a module pagetreesearch which was brought from the deprecated Pagetree Search Plugin. This is, however, not documented in the plugin's page:

As far as I am concerned, the

macro is included as a module of this plugin. Hence, you can use that to not display the tree.
