The V2SearchSmartListManager is an impl of the old LuceneSmartListManager that works via the new search API. We should be using it in preference to the LSLM, but for some reason it was never switched over.

Ran it on my machine and the label-based tests in RssAcceptanceTest are failing, which suggests some of the backwards compatibility isn't there yet.
