Please add Oracle 11g to the list of DBMSs that we support.
10g is getting a bit long in the tooth, and 11g has been out for a while now.

            [CONFSERVER-13310] Support for Oracle 11g

I cant belive you don't support 11g. Its a showstopper for our organisation. And that you have oralce 8i in your installation instructions: its more than 11 years old and as an oracle DBA I havent seen it for at least 7. 10g is 7 years old. And if you do support oracle 11g in the next years, please put key information on your installation steps for what grants/roles/tables etc. are requried by your app. We can't guess that stuff.

Please add this as fast as possible. We have chosen Confluence because we expect it to meet the demands on being up-to-date with current technology. We use Confluence for some very sensitive and extremely important documentation inhouse. So we have chosen to pay for for a wiki, and expect to get the service that goes with paying for a piece of software.

We are as pressed for time on 10g End of Life as everyone else is.

Keith, we will endeavor to assist you wherever possible. Please give our support team a heads up about this, you can direct any questions you may have to them.

If we install our confluence site on oracle 11.1.0.7.0 what limitations will we have on support from Atlassian? Your comment from Mar 23,2010 seems to indicate there are no major problems.

We too would find it very useful to have some more news on this.

As somebody pointed out already, 11.2 has been out since September, 2009. We are planning/hoping to upgrade to 11.2 in the September timeframe. Your answer below is disappointing but also short on details. You say you will address 11g in your "short-term road map over our next two releases later this year." Please clarify a) what it is you are addressing; support for 11.1 (three years late) or 11.2 (one year late) and b) please give a smaller window for this support (e.g. "early Q3", "September/October", etc.) so that we can plan properly on our side.

            Thanks

This is pathetic. We are planning a enterprise-level clustered implementation of Confluence. You make noises like you are an enterprise-class vendor. Yet Oracle 11g has been out of 2.5 years and you don't support it yet. I know you want to release all these new features, but you also need to do the base work of supporting current infrastructure. 11g is a requirement for your site. Get moving!

We are badly in need of Oracle 11g. We use JIRA and Confluence while JIRA is supported on 11g Confluence is not. I think Atlassian should make Oracle 11g as priority. Would appreciate some response on this and when is the likely hood of the support for this to be announced

            Hi All,
Thanks for your feedback on this item. We are currently looking at addressing this feature in our short-term road map over our next two releases later this year.

Whilst it is not formally supported, we have existing customers running 11g and have not reported any major issues, so we do not foresee this being a major hurdle.

We will keep you updated on this.

Oracle 11g has been out since August 2007 to be exact. I would be curious if there is any progress on this or if we are just being hung out to dry because we aren't using an open source database server.
