This issue pertains to version 1.1-dev Build:#52 Jun 08, 2004.

With prior releases of Confluence it used to be possible to link to pages with apostrophes in the title. Example (taken from http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/TEST/Apostrophe%27s+page):

[Link to self|Apostrophe's page]

This isn't possible anymore. With version 1.1 this is rendered as:

[Link to self|Apostrophe's page]

with results in the entered text with a redish background color. Escaping the apostrophe with a leading backslash doesn't seem to help either.

If this new behaviour is intentional it should be documented in the notation guide. But I'm hoping it is a bug

[CONFSERVER-1321] Cannot link to pages with apostrophe in title

Hi Knut,

It is a bug.

Fixed for 1.1.1.

Cheers,
Dave

Ooops, the link to the Confluence page I entered can't be clicked. The trailing closing parenthesis character is not part of the URL. Should this be reported as a bug against JIRA?
