Many of our users share their thoughts by editing their wiki pages and signing their additions.
It would be very useful to have specific markup helpers as in wikipedia:

[CONFSERVER-12739] Add an "include current date/time" button to confluence rich text editor (or a standard markup as in mediawiki)
This would be very useful, especially for log-like activity recording (e.g., logging system updates to a customer solution). I use it a lot in OneNote. I have a button on the toolbar in OneNote just for doing this.
Given that has been open for several years with no traction, marking as "Won't Fix"
This would be so incredibly useful for Confluence and JIRA.
Evernote can do this (Alt+Shift+D), Onenote can do this (Alt+Shift+F or D or T), Atlassian is WAY behind on this obvious feature.
