    • We collect Confluence feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

Confluence does a good job at keeping one current draft version of one new news/page in each space. However, a user would like the ability to work on a new entry and have several drafts in progress without them being visible or being published via email.

Currently, it seems that if you: Add News > add content to this new News post > decide to let it draft and go somewhere else in the space > go to Add News again > ignore the draft warning and start adding new content to a new news page > let it draft and exit without saving... now your first draft is gone and has been replaced by this second draft and there is no way to get at your first draft.

There should be an option to retain the first draft so that if you want to save it and then work on something new, your first draft sticks around and you are able to start working on a second news page that is drafting itself as usual.
