This only occurs when creating a new page/blog rather than when editing an existing one. Problem is that showMarkup() in page-editor.js hides/shows #sidebar, but in space.vmd (decorator for adding pages) this div wrapper is not used, just a 15% table column.

Space.vmd either needs bringing in line with page.vmd, or page.vmd should be the decorator used when adding pages.
