<confluence-home>/fonts/fop.xml file contains an absolute reference to the font file. Therefore if the home directory is relocated the uploaded fonts fail, and a stacktrace is created when a pdf export is attempted.

I assume that this also means the fonts are specific to each node of a cluster.
