SOAP interface not using Base URL

We're using JIRA through a reverse proxy (we do this for all systems).
JIRA works fine but using SOAP results in an error, as it seems that "somewhere in there" the Base URL is not respected.
Using TamTam to connect to JIRA, I get an error comapling about a "host unknown" and an URL showing the internal hostname (which is unknown in the internet).
