Not sure if this has already been requested - apologies if it has It would be really cool if you could insert macros whilst creating/editing a page using the RTE.

Just like we have a button to insert a link or an image it would be great if there was a button in the RTE toolbar to insert a macro.

Clicking the button would open the "Insert Macro" window which would have all the available macros sorted by category. You then choose your macro and define its parameters much like the Formula Builder window in Excel. (see screenshot attached)

Once you have selected your macro and defined its parameters the RTE should render the macro for display.
