    Description

      When MySQL's wait_timeout is exceeded, Confluence is unable to reconnect unless restarted.
      The issue is described here

      There's a workaround/fix, but this only applies to datasources, not the JDBC connections that are more normal for Confluence.

      This may be related to, and may even duplicate, CONF-8157.
