Issue Summary
Currently, Confluence only supports page-level edit restrictions. In complex business workflows where multiple teams contribute to a single document (e.g., technical specifications or compliance reports), there is no native way to restrict editing to specific sections or ensure that all mandatory sections are completed before a page is published.
Proposed Enhancements:
1. Section-Level Edit Restrictions
- Requirement: Ability to define independent edit permissions for specific sections within a page or template.
- Benefit: Ensures data integrity by allowing only designated teams/groups to modify their assigned sections while others maintain read-only access.
2. Conditional Publishing Workflow
- Requirement: A "Mandatory Field/Section" validation that prevents page publication until all required areas are completed.
- Benefit: Prevents the distribution of incomplete or unverified documentation.
