Confluence page PDF export fails with a 502 Bad Gateway error when the page contains an Insert Jira Issue/Filter macro that displays a Jira custom field of type Text Field (multi-line) containing emoticons. The issue appears to be specific to the presence of emoticons in the Jira data rendered during the export process.
Steps to Reproduce
- In Jira: Create or identify a Text Field (multi-line) custom field. Change the custom field type to use the rich text editor by following this KB: Change text custom field to rich text editor in Jira Data Center.
- In Jira: Add a random emoticon to this custom field in a Jira issue using the rich text editor or inline editing.
- In Confluence: Create a page and add the Insert Jira Issue/Filter macro.
- In Confluence: Configure the macro to display the custom field that contains the emoticon.
- In Confluence: Attempt to export the page to PDF using More actions (...) > Export to PDF.
Expected Results
