      NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      • users emails can be set to 'private' 'public' or 'masked'.
      • when set to 'public', email address on a user profile are plain text. they should be a mailto link.
      • see CONF-2538 for a suggestion on how to create a javascript mailto link even if the text must be 'masked' (i.e. name at domain dot com rather than name@domain.com)
