Currently it is only possible to change the text color in whiteboards when using explicit text documents.

As soon as you type something into a sticky note or a template element (e.g. an UML element) you cannot change the text color anymore. The only thing that can get changed is the background color of the stickynote or the element.

Changing the text color should be possible regardless of the element that contains the text.
