A - Special symbols inconsistently escaped
Create a page; switch to rich-text edit mode. Type the following:
(?) (\?) (!) (\!)
The first renders as a graphic. (My expectation is that none of them would render as a graphic, or perhaps the first and the third.)
B - Switching edit modes messes up escaping
Create a page, start in rich-text edit mode.
Enter the text:
(?)
Switch to wiki markup mode. Notice that this was not escaped, as it would be had you saved immediately (compare with scenario A, above.)
Switch back to rich-text edit mode. You'll now be looking at a red question-mark symbol.
