Issue Summary

After upgrade from Confluence from 8.5.19 to 9.2.6 we have noticed a change in how it displays colours. This has shifted colours from purple #6B2976 to var(-ds-icon-accent-magenta,#CD519D) in view mode and var(-ds-text-accent-magenta, #943D73) in edit mode for the same text.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Set up confluence 8.5.19 and create a page with text in purple colour as below using below purple colour :

3. The page will look like below in confluence 8.5 :

5. Then, upgrade to confluence 9.2.6 or 9.2.8. After upgrade, it is observed the text colour changes from purple to magenta as seen below :

7. Open the page in the editor

Expected Results

It should display the same color as the view page

Actual Results

Colour of text changes to a darker tone in the editor than the view page

Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
