Problem
Office word macro does not list document files from the page, even if the files are valid such as docx, doc and is of proper word version
Environment
Tested on Confluence 8.5.x
Steps to Reproduce;
Its not reproducible at all times, but it does occur for multiple customers intermittently:
- Create a page
- Add attachment to the page such as Microsoft word docx or doc files. Or you can also use attachment macro and upload the files
- Click "Attachments" on the top right of the page to confirm that the attachment is listed
- Inside the page add Office word macro {Office Word}
- The macro is supposed to list all valid office document files attached to the page, but in some cases it is not listing the files in the drop down.
Expected Results
Office document files should be listed at all times
Actual Results
In some intermittent cases, files are not listed and we are unsure about the root cause on why this fails sometimes
Workaround
- Go to the problem page with the attachment and edit it.
- Add office word macro.
- Make sure that attachment is not listed.
- Under "Page Title" remove the name of the page completely
- Now check if the attachment is listed?
- If not, remove the page name and just save the macro
- Edit again, and check if the attachment name is listed there.
