As files and formats are becoming more complex, some new and complex files are not being processed correctly by our Confluence Sandbox converting process.

This leads to previews not being generated correctly for Excel/Word/PDF files. Sometimes the File macro renders the preview somewhat correctly, but not the dedicated ones, such as the Excel macro.

In such macro documentation it is stated that:

Insert the file directly into the page. We'll display a PDF thumbnail of the sheet. This is okay for simple spreadsheets but may not be suitable for complex or multi-sheet files.

Enhancing/improving/updating the libraries and processes that convert documents would be useful so that previews can be generated for new and complex files.

Another option would be to add to the macro a way to configure or select which information to process only for the preview, so that only a desired portion of the document can be processed for preview.
