With a few hundred LDAP groups, the existing pager beocomes a cumbersome behemoth to negotiate.
I thought I raised this but can't find it to another issue, heres the list:
1. Confluence provides a 'next' button but no 'end' button forcing paging through, oh 25 pages of groups
2. Confluence does not differentiate between read-only groups (which are interesting but sometimes I don't care about), I cannot just skip to confluence managed groups.
3. Confluence doesn't allow me do type in the group I'm after, If I know the group why would I want to page through 20+ pages ? a Nice AJAX interface with results auto-filling please!
4. Confluence does not remember where I was in the group list browser and goes to the start of the list (chorus of 'Noooo' from my fellow users), can you imagine how much pain is involved in try to delete say a dozed confluence groups with 25pages to wade through after every operation? Gah!
So, some work here would make the group browser usable, currently its there as a last resort due to effort involved in navigating large numbers of LDAP groups. Hitting any of the above points would help reduce the pain.
