Problem
Currently, Confluence Cloud includes native integrations for Dropbox, Google Drive, and Loom that appear prominently in the Macro Browser and the slash-command (/) menu. Even when an organisation disables these connectors at the site or org level, the UI entry points remain visible to all users.
Suggested Solution
Provide a toggle within the Confluence Administration (under "Editor Settings" or "Macro Management") that allows Org/Site Admins to:
- Selectively hide macros from the Macro Browser.
- Remove these entries from the slash-command (/) quick-insert menu.
- Ensure these settings are respected globally across the site.
Why This Is Important
For organisations with strict information security and compliance requirements, the mere presence of these options is a concern as it suggests these services are approved for use. Administrators need a way to explicitly remove or hide these specific native macros from the editor's selection menus.
Workaround
There is currently no workaround to hide these UI elements
