Issue Summary
- The Table of Contents (TOC) macro fails to scroll to target headings in recent versions of Firefox (v157+). While the URL updates with the anchor, the page remains at the top because the browser's strict anchor positioning logic fails to find the target heading in the asynchronous DOM during React rendering.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a Confluence page with standard headings.
- Insert a Table of Contents macro at the top of the page and publish.
- View the page using Mozilla Firefox (Version 157.0.1 or newer).
- Click any link within the Table of Contents macro.
Expected Results
- The browser should update the URL with the heading anchor and scroll smoothly to the target heading.
Actual Results
- The URL updates with the anchor, but the page does not scroll and remains at the top of the document.
Workaround
- Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
