Issue Summary
On published pages, you can't add inline comments to content inside the native Tabs macro (/tabs), though content outside the macro works as usual.
In the editor, you can add inline comments inside tabs, and they stay visible after publishing. View-only users, such as reviewers, have no way to leave inline feedback on tabbed content.
Steps to Reproduce
1. Create a new Confluence Cloud page and add a paragraph of text.
2. Type /tabs to insert the Tabs macro.
3. In Tab 1, add a table with some content.
4. In Tab 2, add some text.
5. Publish the page.
6. In view mode, select the text outside the Tabs macro. The inline comment option appears.
7. Select text in the table in Tab 1, then select the text in Tab 2.
Expected Results
When you select text inside any tab, the inline comment toolbar appears and the comment can be saved, the same as for content outside the macro.
Actual Results
- Text outside the Tabs macro: inline comments work ✅
- Table content in Tab 1: inline comment option isn't available ❌
- Text in Tab 2: inline comment option isn't available ❌
Workaround
Users with edit permission can add the inline comment in the editor and then publish. There's no workaround for view-only users.
