Issue Summary
Confluence Cloud’s legacy Excel (viewxls) macro ignores the configured Sheet Name parameter and always opens the workbook’s first worksheet.
Steps to Reproduce
1. Attach an Excel workbook containing at least two worksheets to a Confluence page.
2. Insert or edit the Excel macro.
3. Set File Name to the attached workbook.
4. Set Sheet Name to a worksheet other than the first one (e.g., Tabelle2).
5. Publish and view the page.
Expected Results
The macro opens with the worksheet specified in Sheet Name selected by default. This is explicitly stated in the macro UI: “Name of worksheet to show by default. If not specified, the first worksheet is shown.”
Actual Results
The macro always opens the workbook’s first worksheet. The configured worksheet tab is available and can be selected manually, but it is not opened by default.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
