Clicking "View Issue" for Jira work items in Confluence Calendars redirects to Jira rather than displaying on a pop-up window

      Problem description

      As part of the new Team Calendar capabilities, events that refer to a Jira work item can no longer be previewed directly within Confluence. Rather, when clicking a Jira event and selecting "View issue", users are redirected to Jira.

      The removal of a pop-up modal to preview the Jira work item details directly affects the user experience, as users now must load Jira instead of being presented with the key information on the same page.

      Suggested solution

      Include a pop-up window displaying the key details of a Jira work item directly in the Confluence Team Calendar page, rather than requiring users to be redirected to Jira.

      Workaround

      Currently, there are no workarounds for this behaviour, and details of a Jira issue need to be viewed within Jira.
