      Current behavior

      • When using native Confluence Approvals, there is no dedicated Confluence Automation trigger that fires when a page approval status changes.
        • The standard "Page status changed" trigger does not detect Confluence Approval lifecycle events.

      Suggested behavior

      • Introduce a dedicated trigger in Confluence Automation:
        • Trigger name: Page approval status changed
        • Supported status transitions:
          • In review (when an approval workflow starts or transitions to review)
          • Approved (when all required approvals are completed)
          • Changes requested (when an approver requests changes)

      Use-cases / Value

      • Automatically publish, move, or archive pages once approval status reaches "Approved".
      • Send chat or email notifications to page authors when "Changes requested".
      • Automatically transition or create linked Jira work items upon approval status changes.

      Current Workaround

      • There is currently no workaround to trigger automation rules based on Confluence Approval status changes.
