Current behavior

Synced Blocks can be pasted and rendered in Jira work item descriptions, but they are not supported in comments.

When pasted into a comment, we get an error:

Unable to paste
Sync blocks aren't supported here yet.

Expected behavior

Allow Synced Blocks to be pasted into Jira comments and rendered as view-only synced content, similar to Jira descriptions.

Customer impact

Customers using comments for ongoing collaboration cannot reference live Confluence content inline. They must instead paste static content or add a link, which removes the benefit of keeping information synced from a single source.

Workaround

Use the Synced Block in the work item description, or share a link/static copy in the comment.
