Description:
In the previous Confluence UI, the "Advanced Search" page displayed the total number of content items that matched the search criteria on the right side of the screen. In the new UI, this count is no longer visible. This makes it difficult for users to understand the volume of results and determine if they need to refine their search terms.
Current Problem:
Users cannot see the total number of search results in the new Confluence Cloud search interface. This lack of information makes it difficult to gauge the volume of related pages and decide whether the search terms need to be narrowed down or adjusted.
Suggested Solution:
Re-introduce the total hit count display in the Advanced Search results page, similar to the functionality in the old UI, so users can immediately see how many items matched their query.
Workaround:
Currently, there is no direct way to see the total count in the new UI. Users must manually scroll through results or refine their search without knowing the exact volume of the initial matches.
