Issue Summary
Guests groups are not searchable to be added to the groups and users lists in the permissions wit the current role based permissions.
However, it is possible to add this group before it is assigned a guest product access, into the space settings > Users.
After that, it is possible to add a guest product access at admin.atlassian.com, and the group is not removed from the space settings, even though it should not be possible to manage guest groups there.
In result, in this scenario, if the guest group is attempted to change the role from viewer to collaborator, admin or other role, it returns a generic error "something went wrong" instead of mentioning guest groups are not possible to be managed in the space permissions or removed from there.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a group at admin.atlassian.com
- Assign a product access role, except for the guest role (or dont assign a product access at all)
- Add this group to the space permissions > Users from the "Add people" button (Make sure to have the space permissions role based access in your site)
- After confirming the group is added to the space permissions, go to admin.atlassian.com and assign a guest product access to the group
- Go back to the space settings and try to change the role from the current one to a different one
Expected Results
The group is flagged as a guest group, or it is mentioned the guest group shouldn't be modified permissions (as expected by design), or the error clarifies the group should be removed or cannot be modified permissions.
Actual Results
Something went wrong pop up shows up when trying to modify for the guest group.
Workaround
Manage guest users individually and remove the guest user group from the space permissions, since it cannot be changed the role for the group, only individual users.
