Summary

Allow users to individually disable the "Ask Rovo AI" floating icon and the editor placeholder text, without needing an admin to disable all AI features.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open any Confluence page in edit mode
2. Observe the animated, colorful "Ask Rovo AI" floating icon at the bottom-right corner of the screen
3. Place the cursor on any empty line in the editor
4. Observe the placeholder text "Press space to ask Rovo or / to insert elements" appearing on every blank line and empty table cell
5. Notiuce that there is no user-level setting to hide or disable either of these elements

Actual Results

Both elements are always visible during page editing with no option to hide or disable them.

• The animated Rovo icon acts as a persistent visual stimulus that competes for attention and continuously pulls focus away from writing
• The placeholder text appears on every blank line and empty table cell, creating repetitive visual clutter that breaks the user's train of thought
• There is no user-level or admin-level setting to disable these elements individually

For neurodivergent users, including those with ADHD, autism, anxiety, and sensory processing differences, these persistently visible, animated, and undismissable visual elements cause significant distraction and cognitive overload during the simple process of writing a document.

Expected Results

Users should be able to individually disable Rovo AI visual prompts via a personal setting (e.g., Personal Settings → Rovo Preferences or Accessibility).

Disabling these elements should not remove access to other Rovo features such as Chat, Search, and Agents. Users should be able to manage their own AI preferences without needing an admin to create a special group and block them.

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available.
