Issue Summary

Customers who frequently export Confluence pages to PDF (e.g., engineering test reports) face significant productivity loss due to:

• No PDF preview — users must export the same report 5–10 times, tweaking spacing, tables, and headings each round until the output looks presentable.
• No manual page breaks — there is no way to control where content splits across pages, leading to awkward table/heading placement in the final PDF.
• Limited formatting control — headings, tables, and content placement in the exported PDF do not match the Confluence page layout.
• Word export loses formatting — exported Word documents are distorted and unusable for professional presentation.

Suggested Solutions

1. A PDF preview mode before exporting, so users can see the final layout without exporting repeatedly.
2. The ability to insert manual page breaks within Confluence pages to control content placement in the PDF.
3. Better control over how content, tables, and headings are formatted during PDF export.

Workaround

Users export the document multiple times (5–10 iterations), manually adjusting spacing and content until the PDF is acceptable. This is time-consuming, especially for larger reports. There is no viable workaround for Word export formatting loss.
