Overview

Users are currently unable to display images as simple inline text links (showing the filename) in the Confluence Cloud editor. Instead, images are automatically rendered as thumbnails or collapsed versions of the original file, which impacts page performance and layout.

Current Process

When uploading an image to a page, the editor automatically renders a visual preview or thumbnail of the media, with no option to toggle to a text-only inline link.

Feature Request

We would like to add an "Inline" display option for images and attachments in the cloud editor that displays them as text links (filename) rather than visual previews, similar to the functionality available in Confluence Data Center.
