      Issue Summary

In Confluence Databases, when a field is hidden from the Board view card layout, it appears as read-only in the entry (side) panel and cannot be edited. Fields that are visible on the card remain fully editable. This affects all users in the affected cohort regardless of their permission level, and reproduces on both existing and newly created databases.

      Steps to Reproduce

      • Open a Confluence Database that has a Board view configured.
      • Ensure one or more fields are hidden from the card layout (via Board settings → Card layout → hide a field).
      • Click on any card to open the entry/side panel.
      • Attempt to edit a field that is hidden from the card layout.

      Expected Results

All fields in the entry panel should be editable for users with edit permissions, regardless of whether they are hidden from the card layout.

      Actual Results

Fields hidden from the card layout are displayed as read-only in the entry panel — clicking on them shows no focus indicator and does not allow editing. Fields that are visible on the card remain editable as expected.

      Workaround

Toggle the affected field to "visible on card" via Board settings → Card layout. This restores editability of the field in the entry panel.
