      Summary

Provide the ability to create a copy of an older page version from the new page version history experience in Confluence Cloud.

      Current Behavior

In the older page version history experience, users are able to open a previous version of a page and use the “Make a copy” option to create a new editable page based on that historical version.

This functionality is particularly useful in cases where macros used in older versions of a page have since been removed or are no longer supported. In such scenarios, the content inside those macros may no longer be viewable in the view mode of page versions. By copying the older version, users will be able to open the copied page in edit mode and recover the macro content.

In the new page version history experience, the “Make a copy” option for older page versions is no longer available, preventing users from recovering or accessing content from deprecated or removed macros in the same way.

      Expected Behavior

Users should have the ability to create a copy of an older page version from the new page version history experience, similar to the functionality available in the previous experience.

      This would allow users to:

      • Recover or access content from removed or deprecated macros
      • Restore older page content into an editable state
      • Maintain continuity with workflows supported in the previous version history experience
      • Use historical page versions more effectively for troubleshooting and content recovery
