Issue Summary
When using the New Version History feature in Confluence Cloud, pages containing the Excerpt Include macro do not render correctly. The formatting of the included content is broken, often causing horizontal layouts (like panels or columns) to display vertically or lose their structure entirely.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a source page with an Excerpt macro containing structured content (e.g., a table or multiple info panels).
- Create a second page and use the Excerpt Include macro to pull in that content.
- Publish the second page and make at least one edit to create a new version.
- Navigate to Page History and select the New Version History experience to view or compare versions.
- Observe the rendering of the content within the Excerpt Include macro.
Expected Results
The content within the Excerpt Include macro should maintain its original formatting and layout, matching how it appears on the published page.
Actual Results
The formatting is lost or corrupted. For example, panels that should be horizontal are displayed vertically, and the overall layout becomes difficult to read.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
