Ability to restrict Confluence Space Permissions to Managed Teams only

      Current Problem:

In Confluence Cloud, users can now grant space permissions to Atlassian Teams.
However, "Manual Teams" (regular teams) can be created and managed by any user who is not necessarily a Space Administrator or a Product Admin.
This creates a security loop-hole where a member of a manual team can change the team's membership, effectively granting space access to new users without the Space Administrator's involvement or approval.

      Suggested Solution:

Provide a setting (either at the Global Permission level or Space level) that allows administrators to restrict which types of Teams can be added to Space Permissions.
      Specifically:

      • An option to allow only Managed Teams (official teams managed by admins) to be used as permission principals.
      • An option to disable the use of "Manual Teams" in the Space Permissions and Page Restrictions dialogs.

      Workaround:

Currently, there is no direct way to prevent manual teams from being used in permissions if the "Teams in Permissions" feature is enabled.
Admins must manually audit space permissions or rely on traditional "Groups" (which are admin-only) to maintain strict security, but this defeats the purpose of the new Teams integration.
