Issue Summary
When a Confluence page is restricted after a Slack notification has already been posted, using the notification’s More actions (…) > Comment in Slack opens a modal that stays on “Loading” indefinitely. No error or access prompt is shown.
Steps to Reproduce
1. Prerequisites
- Confluence is integrated with Slack via the official Confluence for Slack app
- A Confluence page is connected to a Slack channel and is initially accessible to User A
2. As User A, ensure a Confluence page is connected to a Slack channel (page updates post to the channel).
3. Trigger a page update so a notification is posted to Slack.
4. As User B, change the page restrictions so User A no longer has access.
5. In Slack, as user A, on the posted notification, open More actions (…) and select Comment.
Expected Results
- The same results as observed on Confluence: Slack shows a clear message that the page is restricted and guide the user to request access.
Actual Results
- A modal opens in Slack and remains stuck on “Loading” indefinitely.
- No error message, access prompt, or actionable guidance is displayed.
- The modal must be closed manually.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
