      Issue Summary

When Platform Experiences / Kudos is disabled at the organization level, Confluence Whiteboards still show a “Give Kudos” option on the user mention/profile lozenge. Clicking this option fails with the generic error “Something went wrong on our end.”

On regular Confluence pages in the same site, the “Give Kudos” option is correctly hidden when Platform Experiences / Kudos is disabled, so Whiteboards behaviour is inconsistent with the rest of the product and with current platform documentation.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. In a Confluence Cloud site where Platform Experiences / Kudos is disabled in the admin hub.
      1. Ensure Confluence Whiteboards are enabled for the site.
      1. Create or open a Confluence Whiteboard.
      1. Add a text shape or sticky note and @mention a user.
      1. Click on the mention lozenge/profile chip to open the user card.
      1. In the user card, click “Give Kudos”.

      Expected Results

      • When Platform Experiences / Kudos is disabled for the organization:
        • The “Give Kudos” action should not be shown in the Whiteboard user card, matching the behaviour on regular Confluence pages; or
        • If the action is shown, it should successfully open the Kudos flow instead of failing.

In other words, Whiteboards should respect the Platform Experiences/Kudos configuration in the same way as other Confluence surfaces.

      Actual Results

      • On Confluence Whiteboards, when Platform Experiences / Kudos is disabled:
        • The user card still displays a “Give Kudos” option when clicking an @mention lozenge.
      • On regular Confluence pages in the same site, the “Give Kudos” option is not displayed when Platform Experiences is disabled, which aligns with current platform behaviour and documentation.

      Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
