According to our Atlassian Cloud changes Feb 16 to Feb 23, 2026 - Confluence, the new Version history experience has been released. It offers a modern interface for viewing, comparing, and managing page versions. Users can review previous versions, compare changes, delete or restore versions, and, if Rovo is enabled, ask AI to summarize version history.

Without Rovo enabled, users see a "Try it free" message in the sidebar, which may mislead them into thinking the page versions comparison won't occur. However, disabling Rovo only blocks the Summary of changes from populating. The page version comparison proceeds normally, with differences highlighted in color, but the "Try it free" message in the sidebar misleads users to think the comparison is blocked or won't occur.

Proposed Solution

Improve the page versions comparison view when Rovo is disabled. Consider allowing users to disable the "Try it free" message in the sidebar, so it does not appear every time they compare page versions. This change would enhance the experience for customers who cannot share data with AI due to security, ensuring compliance with regulated workflows.
