Issue Summary
When anonymous access is enabled in Confluence: If accessing Confluence form home.atlassian.com or the sidebar, a user is treated as if they have anonymous access to Confluence even if they have a different permission level.
Steps to Reproduce
- Enable anonymous access in Confluence
- Clear browser cache and cookies
- Log in from the home.atlassian.com URL
- Select Confluence in the sidebar or on the home.atlassian.com page
Expected Results
A user sees all content appropriate to their permission level in Confluence
Actual Results
The user sees content as if they are an anonymous user until they do one of the following:
- navigate to Jira
- navigate to Confluence through the app switcher
Workaround
Any of the following will work as a workaround:
- navigate to Jira before navigating to Confluence
- navigate to Confluence through the app switcher
- disable anonymous access in Confluence
