Background
As documented here, when activating a Confluence trial plan, all email notifications for @mentions are suppressed until the evaluation period is complete – users only receive in-app notifications during that time (or third parties such as Slack/Teams Notifications).
This happens even for customers who are already paying for a Standard subscription and have started a Premium trial. If customers don't wish to wait until the trial is over to resume the @mention email notification, they must reach out to Support, which can manually add them to an exception list.
Request
Since the limitation is intended to prevent spam abuse in trial instances, there should be no disruptions to functionality once the customer has already subscribed to a paid plan.
This entry requests an adjustment to the rules governing "email suppression" to continue sending @mention emails when the customer has a paid plan – for example, in the most common scenario, Standard customers who are evaluating Confluence Premium.
