Issue Summary
When attempting to create an application link from Confluence using an existing tunnel, the Create link dialog closes immediately after selecting the tunnel, and no application link is created. This occurs in Chrome and Microsoft Edge
The same flow works as expected in Firefox and Safari.
Steps to Reproduce
- Log in to Confluence Cloud as an org/site admin in Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
- Navigate to Administration → Application Links (Confluence side).
- Ensure that an application tunnel already exists and is available to be used.
- Click Create link (or equivalent to add an application link.
- Choose the option to use a tunneled application link.
- In the pop-up, select the existing tunnel from the list.
- Click Continue / Next / Create (depending on the button label).
Expected Results
- The wizard should proceed to the next step or complete successfully.
- The admin can continue configuration tasks using Chrome/Edge only
Actual Results
- As soon as the tunnel is selected and the admin confirms:
- The Create link dialog closes/disappears.
- No clear error message is shown to the user.
Workaround
- Use Firefox or Safari to complete the tunneled application link creation wizard
