Compact Density is not the default for newly created Confluence pages. Users must manually enable it via the page toolbar (“A ↓ – Use Compact Density”), which results in inconsistent spacing across content.

This is expected behavior today—only migrated pages were converted to Compact Density. We request the ability to set Compact Density as the default for new pages, ideally as a space-level setting.
