Issue Summary

Setting a Confluence page that contains a Stiltsoft *Table Filter* macro and a large table as the *space overview (homepage)* causes the macro content (the table) to become invisible in *View* mode, even though it appears correctly in *Edit* mode and when the same page is used as a normal (non‑overview) page.

This has been reproduced in multiple spaces on Confluence Cloud where:

• The same page shows the macro correctly when it is a normal page.
• The macro content disappears only after the page is configured as the space overview.

Steps to Reproduce

1. In a Confluence Cloud site, create a space (for example “Space A”).

2. In that space, create a page (Page 1) that:
   - Contains a *Table Filter* (Stiltsoft) macro wrapping a large Confluence table.
   - Displays correctly in *View* mode as a normal page (macro + table visible and usable).

3. (Optional but helpful) Make a copy of Page 1 in the same space (Page 2) so you can compare behaviour as a normal page vs. overview.

4. As a space admin, go to *Space settings → Space details → More details* for “Space A” and set Page 1 (or Page 2) as the *space overview (Home content)*.

5. Navigate to the space homepage, e.g. `/spaces/<SPACEKEY>/overview`.

6. Observe the page in *View* mode:
   - In *Edit* mode, the Table Filter macro and the full table appear correct.
   - In *View* mode, on the overview:
     - In some cases the macro area collapses into a very thin strip (as if the viewport height were extremely small).
     - In other cases the macro area appears completely empty and the table is not visible at all.

7. (Control) Change the *space overview* back to another page, and view Page 1 / Page 2 again as normal pages (non‑overview):
   - The macro + table become visible and usable again in View mode.

Expected Results

• A page containing a *Table Filter* macro should behave the same in *View* mode regardless of whether it is:
    - a normal (non‑overview) page, or
    - configured as the *space overview (homepage)*.

• In both cases:
    - The Table Filter macro should display its full table content.
    - Users should be able to see and interact with the table in View mode.

Actual Results

• As a *normal page* (not set as space overview):
    - The Table Filter macro displays correctly in *View* mode.
    - The full table is visible and usable.

• When the *same page* is set as the *space overview (homepage)*:
    - In *Edit* mode: the macro and table still look normal.
    - In *View* mode on the overview:
      - The macro area either collapses into a very thin, scrollable strip, or
      - The macro area appears completely empty (no visible table, no usable scroll area).
    - In both cases, the table content is effectively hidden from users on the overview, despite working as expected when the page is not the space homepage.

 

Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround that allows using the affected page as the space overview while still displaying the Table Filter macro correctly.

There are, however, partial workarounds:

• Use a non‑overview page as the main location for the Table Filter + table, and:

• • Link to that page from the space overview, or

• • Keep a simpler/static version of the table on the overview.

• Alternatively, keep the plain table outside the Table Filter macro on the space overview page, and use a separate page with the macro when filtering is required.

A full workaround that preserves the macro on the space overview itself is not currently available. A more complete workaround will be added here when available.
