Currently, when a Guest is granted access to a Confluence space, admins must manually assign that Guest to a custom role in that space’s permissions. There is no way to define a global or space-level default custom role for all Guests.
Requested enhancement:
- Add a setting (global and/or per space) to define a default custom role for Guest users.
- When a Guest is added to a space (including any default Guest space), they are automatically added to the configured custom role, instead of requiring a manual step.
This would reduce repetitive admin work, improve consistency of Guest permissions, and lower the risk of misconfigured access.
