Issue Summary
When a user opens a link from a Task Report macro in Confluence Cloud, the browser’s Back button does not return to the page containing the macro, and may do nothing.
This affects all links in the Task Report macro, preventing users from relying on Back to return to the task overview and forcing them to re‑navigate via search or space navigation, which slows down task review workflows.
Steps to Reproduce
- In Confluence Cloud, create or open a page and insert a Task Report macro that lists at least one task with a link (e.g., a page containing the task).
- Publish the page.
- From the published page, click on any link inside the Task Report macro (for example, the task’s page link or the page title).
- After the new page opens, click the browser’s Back button.
Expected Results
The browser navigates back to the Confluence page that contains the Task Report macro, preserving the user’s context in the task list.
Actual Results
The browser does not return to the Task Report page: nothing happens when clicking Back.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
