Need a built‑in way to answer basic governance questions about Confluence cloud access, such as:
- Who can use Confluence?
- Which site‑level groups are they in?
- Who is missing from a designated baseline access group?
Today, this requires custom, API‑based automation. The request is for a native, admin‑friendly solution.
Problem
Current admin surfaces provide only partial views:
- Organization‑level and site‑level views show product access, but not a joined view with site‑level group membership.
- Group management pages don't support:
- Exporting all group members, or
- Joining group membership with product access and account characteristics.
As a result, administrators must build their own integration or scripts to:
- Enumerate Confluence users,
- Resolve which groups they belong to,
- Reconcile this with access and licensing expectations.
Requested solution
Provide a built‑in capability (in Atlassian Admin and/or Confluence Admin) that:
1. User ↔ Product ↔ Group report
- Shows all users who can access Confluence (licensed or otherwise visible),
- Shows their relevant site‑level groups (including a baseline access group),
- Indicates whether the account is managed or unmanaged,
- Optionally includes a last active signal for Confluence,
- Supports filtering, sorting, and searching, and
- Supports export to CSV.
2. Group‑level export
- Add a simple “Export members” action to group pages,
- Export should include at least identifiers and key attributes needed for governance (for example, name, ID, email, where appropriate, managed/unmanaged).
3. Analytics/reporting guidance
- Provide official guidance or example queries in our analytics/enterprise reporting tools that illustrate how to retrieve:
- All Confluence users, and
- Their group memberships.
